6.2 Stratospheric Ozone

Ozone is a molecule present in relatively high abundance in the stratosphere (a layer in the atmosphere). It plays a major role in making Earth a liveable place by protecting against harmful ultraviolet radiation from the Sun. Human activities have compromised this protective layer, but strategies are in place to protect it.
